Service issues...

are totally lame!

Our phone/internet/TV is out for the third time this week!

What a pain!

Now I have nothing to entertain me while I fold laundry except for Pete knocking over the pile of towels.

I baked a cheesecake today, so when I have Internet again and not just the Blogger app (that stinks for uploading pictures!), I will show you my Greek Yogurt Cheesecake!

I used parts from a total of four different recipes, and it looks good. It smells good!

I sure hope it tastes good!

Well, until then, I'll be trying to decide what topping to make for the cheesecake and procrastinating until Chris gets home so I don't have to put away the laundry by myself.

Cotton Dishcloths

I'm going cotton dishcloth crazy! I just love these greens and pinks, too.

I've been knitting dishcloths during breathing treatments and the jumpy parts of Supernatural episodes. (Chris and I have been binge-watching it over the past month or so.)

I'm trying out different techniques and new stitches.

I did the linen stitch a couple days ago, and I tried a diagonally knit square after that. I'm looking for new stitch patterns to try using dishcloths as swatches.

I used circular needles to do the single-row stripes for the dishcloth that is second from the right.

I'll take pictures of the circular needle single-row stripes technique while I'm knitting my next dishcloth. I really enjoyed using that trick, so I think I'll do it again.

Well this sucks!

Literally!

It's my new vacuum!

mug shot
The vacuum we inherited from my mother-in-law died a fiery death!

Well, almost fiery. It just kind of smelled like really bad eggs and did a teeny bit of smoking and then refused to function any more.

I think my long hair killed it. I promise I cleaned it out after every use!

Pete, by the way, does not approve.

"But you just stopped using the other monster!"
It is a nice, simple bag vacuum with a nice filter in it. I don't do bag-less! (Allergies/Asthma + bagless = sick housekeeper)

It's actually a newer version of one my parents had while I was growing up, so it brings back fond memories of all those times my little brother hid in the bathroom to play his GameBoy Color when we had 20 minutes to clean up a room together.

My favorite thing about it so far is the clamp on the edge of the cord.

I'm serious! The last vacuum didn't have one that worked very well toward the end, so the cord was everywhere.
Top left: Cool clampy thing
Bottom left: Super mega awesome slidy brush attachment
Right: ninja sword attachment
I realize it's just a vacuum, but I'm really stoked about my new toy. :)

"You mean you're KEEPING IT?!"
At least Pete likes the box.

"MY box!"

It looks gross, but it tastes great!

Today I had about the grossest looking lunch I've ever had.

You see, gluten and I don't do so well together. I don't have Celiac Disease, but I do have a documented intolerance/sensitivity to it.

I used to love tuna salad sandwiches.

I still do!

But I can't eat regular bread, and most gluten-free bread is nasty!

So, I decided to do the next best thing: lettuce wrap!

But I chopped all of my lettuce up for tonight's dinner...

Plan B!

Tuna Salad Salad!

Small can of tuna (maybe 4 oz?)
1-2 tbsp mayonnaise
1-2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
1-2 tbsp chopped green onion
handful of chopped salad greens
handful of cheese
a bit of chopped tomatoes or a couple cherry tomatoes if you have any

And you're left with a delicious tuna salad sandwich salad. Minus the sandwich. So, tuna salad squared.

Because it looks disgusting, I decided not to post a picture.

It tastes amazing, though!

(Unless you're Chris and you hate tuna. Then it will make you fake gag and run screaming in terror.)
