Well, it's past Easter, and our garden is planted!
The wind sure did a number on the poor little nasturtiums in the corner! I tried using a seed starter to give myself a bit of a jump, but the wind just decimated those poor seedlings. I ended up replanting most of them, but that's ok!
This year I planted lots of different types of tomatoes. I have the plain ol' red tomatoes, purple tomatoes, and a white (well, yellowish-white, really) variety. I also have red and yellow cherry tomatoes, and red grape tomatoes.
It's a good thing I love tomatoes!
We also have banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, serrano peppers, and a sweet and spicy pepper that's name I can't remember unless I am staring at the garden spike.
I'm going to make salsa! It will be interesting salsa since I can't eat onions or garlic. Maybe I'll try using chives? Well, experimenting will be fun.

Pete is not happy that he can't dig here. |
The other garden bed is mostly bare right now since it's just seeds, but I did have a volunteer lettuce, cilantro, and mint this year.
I planted three types of green beans (green, yellow, purple), oregano, basil, more cilantro, more lettuce, snapdragons, asters, and daisies. I think we planted more nasturtiums in the second bed, too, but I can't remember.
Danielle went with me to pick out the plants and helped me plant them. It was such a nice day yesterday, and we both forgot our sunscreen. Luckily, my makeup was enough SPF to prevent much damage, but my lips are sunburned! That's just not something you think about. Well, I learned my lesson!
