Crocheting: Amigurumi Apatosaurus

Happy (belated) New Year, everyone!

Chris and I had a wonderful but terribly busy holiday season. We're glad to be home.

Since it's back to the grind for Chris, I thought I'd make him some more office decorations.

Here is his current collection (minus the Star Wars rebel fighters):

Yup, that's Boris the Gnome Dino Wrangler allowing his sharptooth dino to eat little Boris II, the Reckoning.

It's a harsh world, y'all.

And now, a new addition to Boris's flock, Derpasaur!

This orange apatosaurus is about 4" tall and about 6" long.

He was originally named Orangasaur, but due to his large eyes being placed a bit too far forward, Derpasaur was born.

What do you think?

If you'd like to crochet your own, check out Justyna Kacprzak's e-book Rainbow Dinosaurs (available on Ravelry).  You'll find patterns for a t-rex, pterodactyl, plesiosaur, triceratops, and a stegosaurus in addition to the apatosaurus pattern.

I'm making a set for Chris and another for my friend, so look for more dinosaurs in the coming weeks!
