I LOVE super bulky yarns, and let me tell you, Malabrigo Rasta is the king of super bulky yarns.
The colors!
The softness!
The single ply!
There are so many patterns on Ravelry that really show off the lovely Malabrigo colorways.
I chose the Augourd'hui cowl pattern to be my storm knitting piece. We were expecting bad weather in the area, and knitting (and our new tornado shelter!) help me stay calm.

I started before the Gopher Incident yesterday and managed about 15 rows before the rodent rescue. I finished the rest of the cowl last night.
I used both a crochet provisional cast-on and the Kitchener grafting stitch for the first time. They are very easy processes, in case they intimidate you. The Kitchener stitch seems complicated, but it is very easy to get into a rhythm with it.
I was surprised just how invisible the Kitchener stitch can be. It's the fourth row from the top.

The cowl is very warm and very lovely. The simple stockinette and reverse stockinette pattern really shows off the Rasta.
